Jacob Jay Gottlieb, MD, CFA, PRMIA, the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer and Doctor of Medicine takes and manages risk as a physician and stockbroker. Jacob Gottlieb graduated from New York University Medical School in New York City, New York with a Doctor of Medicine Degree. After graduating, Jacob took a calculated risk by completing an internal medicine internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital located in New York City, New York and proceeding to quit the medical field to began a career in financial management. Jacob pushed all of his chips on the table, all in, with that decision to change careers after completing medical school which demonstrates a boldness to take risks. Jacob proceeded to study economics at Brown University located in Providence, Rhode Island and received a Bachelor of Arts in economics. After graduating Jacob began his career as a financial analyst and portfolio manager and began prospering by picking winning stocks and taking a calculated risk and learning the ability to manage portfolios risk. As a surgeon, doctors are required to also manage the risk of their patients and figure out a plan to manage symptoms of various illnesses that have been diagnosed with to accomplish a successful result. As an investment manager or stockbroker an individual has to have the capacity to evaluate and discover root causes of various levels of performance of companies to invest in a portfolio.
